When Member and full-time student Chika O. received an email from SchoolsFirst FCU, she thought it was just her account statement.
But it was actually an invitation to apply for our Member Education Award scholarship. Thinking it wouldn’t hurt to try for it, Chika applied. Then, a week after she finished her first year at Cal State Long Beach, she got the good news; she’d won the $1,000 scholarship. Chika is an aspiring pediatrician and loves banking with SchoolsFirst FCU. She’s very grateful to SchoolsFirst FCU for awarding her the scholarship to help with her education.
“It feels good knowing someone else is invested in my education. I feel like I have a duty to do better.”
