A Credit Card Designed for School Employees

If you’re a school employee and haven’t checked out our School Employee Mastercard®, we hope you’ll give it a closer look, because it’s designed specifically with you in mind. Here are just a few benefits that we think make it pretty special.

During the summer months, we know you want to relax and enjoy your time off. That’s why we offer 1.5% cash back into a Summer Saver account1, designed to help you save and manage your finances throughout the year. With Summer Saver, you make monthly deposits through automatic payroll deductions, so when vacation season rolls around you’ll have the money you need until work starts up again. Withdrawals are penalty free, and can be made any time during the year. You can also choose to opt in for Skip-a-Payment2, which allows you to skip a credit card payment once a year in January without hurting your credit score, which is great after the holidays. Or, choose interest-only payments to help reduce your expenses during June through August. And with interest rates as low as 9.75% APR3, and no annual, balance transfer or cash advance fees4, it really offers great value.

You’re More Than Just a Number

We understand that sometimes life brings financial challenges, and the School Employee MasterCard can be an important tool to help rebuild or establish credit. This is true for school employee Lorena L., who had some credit problems that made qualifying for a mortgage loan with her former credit union impossible. They told her she’d need to reestablish her credit, but when she applied for a low-limit credit card they denied her.

That’s when she turned to us. We helped her establish a $500 credit limit with a SchoolsFirst FCU School Employee credit card, and over time, Lorena’s credit score improved so much she was able to achieve her dream of becoming a homeowner.

“SchoolsFirst FCU gave me a second chance at life,” says Lorena. “If I wasn’t approved for credit, I didn’t know where I was going to go next. It’s hard to trust just anyone with your money.”

Our goal is to provide products and services that can really enhance your financial life. We think that the School Employee MasterCard can do just that. And keep in mind that it also has other great features including EMV Chip-Enabled Technology, ID Theft Alerts and Identity Theft Resolution for added security.4
